Scott M. Curran serves as Special Counsel in the Corporate and Securities Law Practice Groups. Mr. Curran focuses his practice in the areas of corporate law, business law, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Curran was born in Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (B.A., with distinction, 1998), Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D., with honors, 2001) and the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service (M.P.S., with high distinction, 2006). Mr. Curran was a member of Chicago-Kent's Moot Court Honor Society and is currently a member of the Chicago and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section and Entrepreneur & Start-up Subcommittee. Mr. Curran currently serves as a founding member of the Junior Board of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago and is actively involved in a number of charitable and philanthropic organizations.
In the fall of 2005, Mr. Curran transitioned to his position as Special Counsel to PFS as he became one of sixteen members of the inaugural class of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Service. In connection with his studies at the Clinton School, Mr. Curran worked with sweet potato growers in the Mississippi Delta region of Southeastern Arkansas to establish a sweet potato storage and distribution center. He spent the summer of 2006 working as a Public Service Fellow in the Policy Department of the Harlem office of the William J. Clinton Foundation. Mr. Curran returned to Arkansas in the fall of 2006 to engage in additional economic development work in the Mississippi Delta as a part of his Capstone project prior to completing his studies and receiving his Master of Public Service degree in December 2006.
Mr. Curran now serves as Domestic Policy Program Manager and Assistant General Counsel for the William J. Clinton Foundation in Little Rock, Arkansas. He remains an active member of PFS and continues to consult with firm clients on a regular basis.
