Andrew Szot is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group.  He represents plaintiffs and defendants in business and commercial disputes nationwide.  His recent caseload includes a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters including commercial fraud, insurance coverage, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and contested commercial forclosure matters and workout related matters.  Mr. Szot also represents and counsels clients concerning employment-related issues and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and in arbitrations throughout the United States.

In 2010 Mr. Szot was named a "Rising Star" by Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A., History, with distinction, 1997, and J.D., 2000). He is a member of the Illinois State Bar (2001), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit (2001), the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (2001) and the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois (2007).

Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Szot spent a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Detroit , teaching and mentoring disadvantaged elementary students, earning him a nomination for the Michigan Governor's Service Award.
