Gary Irwin Walt has been with PFS since 1992 when he joined PFS as a partner in the Corporate, Finance and Securities Law Practice Groups. Mr. Walt concentrates his practice primarily in counseling clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, commercial financings (both borrower and lender representation), business disputes (and separations) and other general business matters. Mr. Walt has also assisted clients in both purchasing and selling businesses through sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Walt also has experience in representing a variety of medical practices and commercial art galleries.

Mr. Walt was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan (Angell Scholar, B.A., with distinction, 1979) and earned his law degree from Cornell University (J.D., 1982). Upon graduating from Cornell, Mr. Walt joined the law firm of Coffield, Ungaretti Harris & Slavin (now known as Ungaretti & Harris) as an associate attorney where he was admitted as a partner and stayed until joining PFS in 1992. Mr. Walt was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1982 and Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Walt is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State and American Bar Associations.
