Mr. Weis was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for both his undergraduate degree (B.S., with high honors, 1985) and his Juris Doctor (cum laude, 1988). Mr. Weis was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1988, as well as the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1989.
Mr. Weis is a published author in professional publications and participates in numerous seminars and conferences. He is a member of the special interest conference task force for the Illinois CPA Society's real estate conferences. He is a frequent guest speaker for the American Heart Association on charitable planning and estate planning. Mr. Weis is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is an Illinois "Leading Lawyer" for Closely & Privately Held Business Law, Commercial and Real Estate Law (2006).
