John W. Morse is a partner in the Real Estate and Finance Practice Groups. Mr. Morse represents clients in all aspects of their real estate needs, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, management, and construction of residential, office, industrial and shopping center properties and developments throughout the country, as well as negotiating state and local incentive packages. He also has extensive experience representing both lenders and borrowers in the negotiation, structuring and documentation of asset-based, construction and commercial loan transactions and other credit accommodations, as well as the restructuring and workout of distressed or nonperforming loans.

Mr. Morse is a graduate of the DePauw University (B.A., 1995) and the Northwestern University School of Law (J.D., 1998). He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1998. Mr. Morse is a member and general legal advisor to the Chicago Real Estate Council. He is also a member of the American, Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations. Mr. Morse is a frequent speaker and author on real estate and finance-related topics. He recently co-authored the chapter on Commercial Real Estate Sale Contracts for the Illinois Continuing Legal Education’s (ICLE) edition on Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Morse is also involved with various charitable, civic and cultural organizations.
