Louis J. Phillips is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group. He is experienced in handling a variety of commercial litigation matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, including contract disputes, fraud and misrepresentation claims, real estate disputes, commercial leasing, professional liability, breach of fiduciary duties and class actions. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trials and appeals.

Mr. Phillips also has experience in employment litigation matters, including wage claim, discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, non-competition and non-solicitation, and confidentiality and trade secret matters.

Mr. Phillips was born in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.A., 1997) and The John Marshall Law School (J.D., with honors, 2003), where he also served as an executive board member of The John Marshall Law Review. He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar (2003), as well as the Bars of the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois (2003). Mr. Phillips is also a member of several organizations and associations, including American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
