Catherine Van Duys is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Catherine has experience with a variety of commercial real estate matters including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and finance.
Catherine graduated cum laude from DePaul University College of Law in the spring of 2016. While in law school, Catherine received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Bankruptcy, Legislative Process, and Civil Procedure. Catherine was a member of DePaul’s Appellate Moot Court Society and, in her second year as a member was appointed to the Moot Court Board as Vice President of Cultural Heritage. In addition to serving on the Moot Court Society Board, Catherine also served on the Board of the 2016 National Cultural Heritage Moot Court Competition as the Competition President. Catherine has remained involved with DePaul’s Appellate Moot Court Society after graduation by serving as a coach for the 2016-2017 competition season.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Catherine attended Georgia State University prior to her time at DePaul where she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. After graduating from Georgia State, Catherine worked as an underwriter at a boutique hospitality-lending firm in Atlanta, where she gained experience evaluating real estate transactions. When Catherine is not at the office she is whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, enjoying a pilates class, or spending time with family and friends.
