Kelly A. Rice
Kelly A. Rice is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. She assists in representing buyers, sellers, and developers in acquisitions, dispositions and development of vacant and developed real property. She also advises landlords and tenants in leasing commercial properties, as well as borrowers and lenders in the negotiation and due diligence aspects of real estate financing.
Kelly appreciates that each real estate transaction presents a unique set of challenges. She truly enjoys problem-solving and working with clients to help them navigate these hurdles in order to ensure that their goals are met.
A native of central Illinois, Kelly attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana and obtained her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Humanistic Studies. While in college, she realized her interest in pursuing a career that would allow her to refine her reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, which ultimately lead her to a career in law. Kelly graduated from DePaul University College of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the DePaul Law Review.
In her time outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, and trying new restaurants around Chicago. She also volunteers with PAWS Chicago and the Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic.
